Dehki is an online marketplace operated by Uptawk, connecting verified Nigerian businesses with buyers across Africa. Dehki is accessible at https://dehki.com and as a Progressive Web App (PWA) installable on mobile devices.

Dehki does not facilitate direct payment transactions between buyers and sellers. All transactions, negotiations and payments occur directly between buyers and sellers via WhatsApp, phone call or other agreed channels outside of the Dehki platform.

By accessing or using Dehki in any way — including browsing, searching, contacting sellers, or installing the PWA — you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the platform immediately. These terms apply to all visitors, buyers, and sellers.

You agree to use Dehki only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this platform
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account or contact information you provide
• You must not use automated tools, bots or scrapers to extract data from Dehki without written permission from Uptawk
• You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack or disrupt the platform in any way

As a buyer using Dehki to discover and contact sellers, you agree to:

• Provide accurate personal information (name, phone, email) when using the contact verification system
• Use seller contact details only for genuine purchase enquiries
• Not harass, spam or misuse seller contact information obtained through Dehki
• Conduct your own due diligence before making any purchase from a seller
• Understand that Dehki does not guarantee the quality, availability or pricing of any listed product or service

All sellers on Dehki are verified and onboarded through Uptawk. By having your products listed on Dehki, you agree to:

• Ensure all product listings are accurate, up-to-date and not misleading
• Respond promptly to buyer enquiries received via WhatsApp or phone
• Not list counterfeit, illegal, stolen or prohibited goods
• Honor prices and product descriptions as listed at the time of buyer enquiry
• Comply with all applicable Nigerian consumer protection and business laws

Sellers receive daily and weekly activity reports including verified buyer contact details. These contacts must be used only for business purposes related to Dehki enquiries.

When you use the contact system on Dehki, we collect your name, phone number and email address for the purpose of:

• Verifying your identity before connecting you with sellers
• Providing sellers with buyer contact information so they can follow up
• Improving the marketplace experience

Your contact details are shared with the specific seller whose product you contacted. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.

We use cookies and browser local storage to remember your preferences and verified status across visits and devices.

Dehki uses an email verification system before enabling WhatsApp contact. When you tap the WhatsApp button on any product:

• You will be asked to provide your name, phone and email
• A verification email will be sent to confirm your identity
• Upon verification, you will be redirected to WhatsApp to contact the seller directly
• Returning verified visitors are recognised automatically across devices

This system exists to protect sellers from spam and ensure buyers are genuine. Attempting to bypass or abuse this system is a violation of these terms.

All content on Dehki — including the design, logo, code, product images uploaded by Uptawk, and text — is the property of Uptawk or the respective sellers and is protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

• You may not reproduce, copy or redistribute any Dehki content without written permission
• Product images belong to the respective sellers and may not be used without their consent
• The Dehki and Uptawk names and logos are registered trademarks

Dehki and Uptawk are not liable for:

• Any transactions, disputes or losses arising between buyers and sellers
• The accuracy, completeness or availability of any product listing
• Any loss of data, revenue or business opportunity arising from use of the platform
• Platform downtime, technical errors or service interruptions
• The conduct of any seller or buyer on or off the platform

The following activities are strictly prohibited on Dehki:

• Listing or selling illegal, counterfeit, stolen or harmful products
• Using the platform to defraud, scam or mislead buyers or sellers
• Scraping, harvesting or bulk-collecting user data from the platform
• Uploading malware, viruses or harmful code
• Impersonating another person, business or Uptawk staff
• Using buyer contact details for unsolicited marketing unrelated to Dehki enquiries
• Attempting to manipulate search rankings or product visibility

Violation of any prohibited activity may result in immediate removal from the platform and legal action where applicable.

Uptawk reserves the right to remove any seller, product listing or user from Dehki at any time without notice if we determine that these terms have been violated or that continued presence poses a risk to other users or the platform.

Sellers whose Uptawk subscription expires will be automatically removed from Dehki listings until their subscription is renewed.

Uptawk reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of Dehki after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from the use of Dehki shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
